This is a direct perm position for a Datawarehouse QA Tester with very strong SQL experience. We are looking for someone that has testing/QA experience on datawarehouse projects.
The QA specialist will participate in the incremental development of the Data Warehouse, specifically the extracting of data from source systems and the loading to the warehouse. He/She participates in the project life cycle, from analysis to production implementation, with emphasis on data analysis, system testing, and auditable documentation of results. Experience in data warehousing and decision support testing is a must, coupled with data setup work and relational databases. The candidate should have a strong understanding of application development lifecycles and have a good understanding of data warehouse concepts and techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5+ years of systems analysis experience (at least 3 years in the testing field)
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience (**data driven** application testing does not fill requirement).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/work experience.
- Experience with all types of testing including systems, data quality, and acceptance.
- Experience in creating test plans, cases, and scripts without the use of testing case tools.
- Experience in writing SQL and executing test scripts.
- Experience in business analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving skills in a technical environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Strong skills in UNIX, and scripting required.
- Ability to navigate and work in both UNIX and Windows environments.
